hunter lawrence crowned 2026 ama pro motocross 450 champion at ironman raceway
Hunter Lawrence overcame a challenging weekend at the Ironman National Finals to take his first AMA Pro Motocross 450 Championship title on Saturday.
Leading by a single point before the final round, Hunter qualified second ahead of brother, teammate, and main championship rival Jett Lawrence in third – but a crash early in Moto 1 saw Hunter claw his way back into the top ten to eighth place, keeping his title hopes alive as Jett also ran into difficulty.
Jett had the upper hand in the final Moto 2, finishing third, but fourth place overall was enough for Hunter to clinch the championship ahead of Jett, who finished second in the standings – making it a 1-2 for Alpinestars.
